60 to 80 waiting parties a day – that’s what Ojeje’s first restaurant near Seoul Station was reportedly pulling in for almost two years. Now, the Jeju-born tonkatsu and udon specialist is bringing its culinary empire overseas, opening its first international outlet at Raffles City this October 2026.

Founded in 2020 by chef-owner Kim Ji-hoon, Ojeje has since grown to six directly operated restaurants across Seoul. Its Singapore debut will bring over the dishes that helped build its following, including wet-aged pork tonkatsu, handmade udon and its rather eye-catching kadaif prawns.

The restaurant takes its noodles seriously. Ojeje makes its udon in-house, with dedicated noodle-making rooms and close attention paid to the dough’s hydration, resting time, thickness and cooking. The result is a firm, chewy noodle that you can get in the Premium Matcha Zaru Udon, served chilled with a lightly earthy matcha flavour and savoury tsuyu (a Japanese dipping sauce made primarily from dashi, soy sauce and mirin) dipping sauce.

Then comes the tonkatsu – Ojeje’s other must-try. Its Pork Loin Katsu uses Jeju pork that is wet-aged before frying, with each cut assessed individually. Choose between sirloin or tenderloin, then dip the crisp cutlet into tsuyu, truffle salt or wasabi.

If pork isn’t your thing, the Kadaif Prawn swaps the cutlet for large prawns encased in a delicate, crunchy kadaif shell, served with the same accompaniments.

And of course, Ojeje’s Singapore space will bring a slice of its Jeju spirit to Raffles City, with contemporary Korean art, vintage furniture and custom tableware inspired by the island’s landscapes.
