Ferdinand is a gentle, flower-loving bull living in Spain who wants nothing to do with bullfighting. After growing up on a peaceful farm with a kind family, he's accidentally captured and sent to a ranch that trains bulls for the ring. There, he makes friends and eventually ends up chosen to face a legendary matador in Madrid. Rather than fight, Ferdinand simply refuses to be violent — and his gentleness moves the crowd so deeply that his life is spared. He returns home to the farm with all his new friends in tow.
