About it

Comedy is everywhere: it permeates our daily conversations through puns, exaggerations and impeccable timing, yet it is commonly brushed off as crude and lowbrow. There’s far more to good comedy writing than just light-hearted fluff or scathing sarcasm.

Join us in this workshop led by Suffian Hakim, a writer known for his funny and satirical style, as we explore the fresh perspectives that comedy brings to storytelling – how wordplay served with uniquely Singaporean wit can deliver our own distinctive brand of humour.

Commissioned by SWF as a Youth Fringe incubation partnership with Wormhole, this programme is developed by Youth Curator Lim Yuxuan.
