About this event

Echoes Beyond Time, an evocative double bill presents two complementary choreographic visions: the first, "Ah Ma" (Grandma), created by Creative Director Benedict Soh, honours the silent strength and enduring presence of matriarchs, tracing the intimate gestures and rituals that shape family and community life. The second, "Cut Across Light", choreographed by Artistic Director Neo Jenny, immerses audiences in the symbolic and spiritual world of paper-cutting, using movement, shadow, and light to explore memory, heritage, and creativity.

Together, the two works form a luminous arc from ancestral memory to future possibility, celebrating the unsung heroes of Singapore's cultural legacy. The production poses profound questions: Who are the keepers of heritage when names are forgotten? How do we carry their light into tomorrow? In every gesture and silhouette, the brilliance of these unseen guardians is revived and celebrated, inviting audiences to witness how tradition and contemporary expression intertwine in a shared cultural narrative.
