About it

Discover the beauty of sand painting in this 1.5 hours hands-on workshop inspired by Chinese and Asian decorative traditions. Participants will explore how layered coloured sand has been used in ornamental art, often displayed in bottles or jars as symbols of beauty and harmony.

Guided step by step, participants will learn techniques of layering, contouring and blending colours to create images inside jars or clear cases. The process encourages patience, creativity, and mindful expression.

Note: The workshop will be conducted either at Arts Resource Hub @ 42 Waterloo Street or a classroom at Waterloo Centre. Participants will receive an email with the exact location at least three days before the workshop.
