About this event
This immersive, studio-based workshop offers an authentic experience in a professional artist's atelier, combining technical skill development and the development of participants' contextual understanding of mixed media.
Moving beyond traditional instruction, participants will try their hand at foundational mixed media techniques such as layering, glazing, collage integration and textural construction, learning to situate them within historical and contemporary contexts. They will explore how artists expand the boundaries of painting and mixed media through unconventional materials and layered processes, which encourage experimentation grounded in conceptual awareness. It also introduces professional practices, including artwork documentation, exhibition preparation, and studio organisation.
