About this event

Discover the cultural richness of Chinese mask painting in this 1.5 hours workshop. Masks are integral to traditional Chinese opera and were once commonly seen in Singapore’s temple festivals and community performances, conveying virtues, vices and character traits.

Participants will learn the history, symbolism and techniques of mask painting before creating their own colorful masks. The workshop connects past and present, encouraging hands-on exploration of an expressive art form cherished across generations.

Brought to you by Trendsen Cultural Enterprise. Use your $100 SG Culture Pass credits for this workshop.

Note: The workshop will be conducted either at Arts Resource Hub @ 42 Waterloo Street or a classroom at Waterloo Centre.
