About it

Behind the DJ Booth: A DJ Experience is a 90-minute, demonstration-led music appreciation experience. Designed for the general public of all age groups with no prior DJ or music experience required, the programme invites participants behind the DJ booth to discover the musical knowledge, creative decisions, technology and professional practice involved in contemporary DJing.

This experience combines live DJ demonstrations, artist sharing, an introduction to professional DJ equipment and an open Q&A. Through an accessible and conversational format, participants gain a closer understanding of what DJs actually do behind the booth and how music, technology, listening skills and creative decision-making come together in a DJ performance.
