About this event
Rimba Sakti 2: Mentari Disaku Langit is an immersive musical journey that carries audiences above the clouds, where rhythm, reflection and imagination converge. Inspired by Nadi Singapura's ninth studio album, The Last School, the performance continues the exploration of Kulit, Kayu and Logam — the natural elements that have shaped the musical traditions of the Nusantara for generations.
At the heart of the performance is Nadi Singapura's distinctive percussion ensemble, featuring the resonant voices of the rebana, jidur, marwas, kompang, talempong, gong and other traditional instruments, brought together with contemporary compositions, original songs and evocative soundscapes. Each instrument carries the wisdom of its makers and the memory of the land from which it was born.
Reflecting on change, gratitude and the balance between blessings and trials, the concert reminds us that even the smallest acts can bring light into our lives, and that creativity begins when we embrace change with courage instead of fear.
Set within a dreamlike skyscape, Mentari di Saku Langit is both a celebration of cultural wisdom and a search for new horizons — an invitation to listen deeply, reflect openly, and discover peace within longing. As the music journeys between earth and sky, it gently reminds us that nature remains our greatest — and perhaps our last — school.
