About it
In a surreal landscape built from paragliders and parkas, two people attempt to fly, scale and meander. They create new versions of their bodies over and over again, extending limbs and crumpling torsos to help them navigate the ever-changing winds.
TIMEWASTERS is a spectacle of dance, sculpture and sound. It is made for anyone who's ever felt the insatiable urge to gear up and go upwards, outwards and inwards.
This new performance is a cross-artform collaboration between Singaporean dance artist Faye Tan and Welsh visual artist George H Wale, bringing together movement, dance, sculpture and wearable forms.
An excerpt of TIMEWASTERS premiered at CULTVR LAB in Cardiff in September 2026. This December, 12.ance is pleased to present the full-length work in Singapore at Sigma Studio Theatre.
TIMEWASTERS was commissioned through Richard Chappell Dance's Welsh dance development programme Mwyhau 2026 and the work was created through residencies at NDCWales and Blackwood Miners' Institute. The development of TIMEWASTERS is supported with funding from the Arts Council Wales and the 4 Nations Fund.
