Bookbinding Workshops by Based Book Arts

Learn the art of handcrafting an exposed spine book using French link, link, and kettle stitches in this 3.5-hour hands-on workshop. All materials are provided, and participants can customize their own notebook or sketchbook.

About this event

During this 3.5-hour workshop, participants will get to learn basic bookbinding skills and how to handcraft an exposed spine book using 3 different stitches - french link stitch, link stitch and kettle stitch.

Participants will be able to customise their books by choosing from blank and/or dotted grid pages and a variety of colours for the cover and thread.

Bring home the finished product and use it as a notebook, sketchbook or gift it to a loved one.

All materials and tools provided. No experience needed.

Limited to 7 people per session.

Direction We are just a 3-minute walk from Aljunied MRT Station, Exit B. After exiting, cross the overhead bridge and you will find us on the opposite side - grey building. Please arrive 10 minutes before the workshop starts and wait at the lift lobby, as an access card is required to use the lift. We’ll come down to meet you!
