About this event

In this session, participants will learn to paint a koi fish artwork using acrylics and palette knives. The workshop covers key techniques such as colour mixing, layering, and using texture to suggest movement and form. With clear guidance and hands-on practice, participants will gain confidence in handling tools and materials while enjoying a relaxed and engaging painting experience.

This is a beginner-friendly guided session; no prior art experience is required! All workshop art materials will be provided.

About the Instructor Jae Tay is the founder of Artify Studio and a passionate educator with over 15 years of teaching experience. Since 2014, she has guided countless beginners through accessible and enjoyable art sessions focusing on soft guidance, creative exploration, and building confidence. Her warm, down-to-earth teaching style has cultivated a loyal community who value the studio's welcoming atmosphere. Through Artify Studio, Jae leads community art murals with the People's Association and champions inclusive art-making through Artribe, the studio's social impact arm. Artribe's projects have won Silver and Gold at the Anthem Awards 2022 and were finalists in the Design Business Chamber Singapore's Design for Good Challenge 2020. Her work has been featured on Channel News Asia, The Straits Times, and Shin Min Daily News.
