Discover the traditional Chinese folk art of Clay Sculpture in this 1.5 hours hands-on workshop. Once a familiar sight in traditional markets and temple fairs, clay sculpture transformed simple dough into expressive figures, animals and symbolic motifs that conveyed stories, blessings, and festive joy.
Brought to Singapore by early Chinese immigrants, this craft became part of local celebrations and community life. Participants will learn about its cultural significance and heritage roots while shaping their own clay creations, reimagining this nostalgic art form for modern audiences of all ages.

Note: The workshop will be conducted either at Arts Resource Hub @ 42 Waterloo Street or a classroom at Waterloo Centre. Participants will receive an email with the exact location at least three days before the workshop.
