About the WorkshopThis guided session introduces participants to foundational watercolour techniques through the study of architecture of the National Gallery building. Participants will practise observation, pencil sketching, and brushwork to explore form, light, and composition. With step-by-step guidance, the workshop helps participants build confidence in translating real-life spaces into expressive watercolour artworks, while encouraging an appreciation for visual storytelling through art.This is a beginner-friendly guided session; no prior art experience is required! All workshop art materials will be provided.Complimentary drinks are available at our studio: packet drinks, bottled water, and instant tea or coffee.About the InstructorKanchan Mehendale is a Singapore-based contemporary artist with over 15 years of painting experience, working primarily in acrylics, oils, and watercolours. Her work spans a wide range of styles and subjects, and her pieces are collected internationally, featured in both private homes and galleries. A seasoned educator, Kanchan has conducted numerous workshops across Singapore, guiding learners of all levels with clarity and sincerity. She strongly believes that anyone can learn to paint, and her classes are known for being encouraging, well-structured, and accessible to complete beginners. Her thoughtful teaching approach and deep artistic knowledge make her a respected figure in both the local arts and education scenes.About Artify StudioEstablished in 2014, Artify Studio offers a range of art services from children and adult art classes, corporate team-building sessions to community outreach programmes.Venue Information Only lifts 7 or 8 provide access to our studio.
