Digital Art Workshop Programme Overview

This workshop introduces participants to the fundamentals of digital art through a structured and engaging session combining theory, technical skills, and hands-on practice.

The programme begins with a 20-minute introduction to digital art and its applications, including illustration, concept art, graphic design, and digital media. Participants will learn how digital artworks are created and how to identify digitally produced or manipulated images. The session also highlights Singapore's contemporary digital art scene, featuring artists such as ANTZ, offering insight into local creative practices.

This is followed by a 20-minute segment on colour theory and digital tools using Procreate. Participants will learn key concepts such as colour relationships and harmony, alongside practical skills like using brushes, layers, and shortcuts to navigate the software confidently.

Participants will then spend 30 minutes developing digital tracing and linework skills, translating sketches into digital form while exploring brush control, pressure sensitivity, stroke consistency, and line refinement to create clean and expressive lines.

In the next 30-minute guided practice session, participants will create their own digital artwork with step-by-step guidance, applying linework, colour, and composition techniques.

The workshop concludes with a 20-minute recap and sharing session, where participants review their work, reflect on their learning, and receive guidance on continuing their digital art practice independently, while gaining a deeper appreciation of digital art.
