About this event

Organised by Composers & Authors Society of Singapore (COMPASS), Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre (SCCC), and Ocean Butterflies Music, "SG:SW I Write The Songs" is a nationwide Mandopop songwriting festival which provides a platform to uncover and cultivate the next generation of original local music talent.

In conjunction with the 10th anniversary of SG:SW, a new team-based format was adopted with two local singer-songwriters Yokez and Ben Hum serving as team mentors for the finalists. After four months of rigorous screening and mentorship, the Top 10 finalists of this year's "SG:SW I Write The Songs" will be taking the stage at SCCC's Far East Organisation Auditorium for SG:SW 2026's Finale Concert on 3 October at 7:00PM.

During the Finale Concert, the judging panel will pick six winners for the following awards: Best Song, Lyrics (Merit), Melody (Merit), Best Vocal Performance, Best Performing Band, and Popularity (Public Voting). The panel consists of Singapore Cultural Medallion Award and Singapore Chinese Cultural Contribution Award recipient Dr Liang Wern Fook, renowned Music Producer Zennon Goh, Mandopop songwriter-producer Real, esteemed Mandopop songwriter Tina Wang and Mediacorp Personality Zhong Kunhua.
