Join practitioners from across the accessibility interpretation field — including sign language interpreters, creative captioners, and audio describers — as they share their experiences translating live performance and reflect on what it means to convey not just words, but atmosphere, emotion, and artistic intent.

About the Speakers & Moderator

Grace Lee-Khoo is a director, performer, dramaturg, researcher, educator and producer who works internationally, most notably as associate producer and performer of And Suddenly I Disappear: The Singapore-UK 'd' Monologues, which toured the UK in 2018. Since 2018, she is Associate Artist of David Glass Ensemble and a proud member of DADC.

Joanna Ong is a creative captions designer and arts manager who adopts the "aesthetics of access" approach to integrate captions into live performances, enabling the Hearing and Deaf communities to enjoy them together.

Lily Goh is a Deaf artist, educator, and founder of ExtraOrdinary Horizons, a Deaf-led learning platform promoting Singapore Sign Language (SgSL), and recipient of the Singapore Woman Award (2024).

Alecia Neo (moderator) is an artist and cultural worker based in Singapore, co-founder of Brack, an art collective for socially engaged art, and founder of Unseen Art Initiatives, a platform for professional and emerging disabled artists.
