Programme Outline "Grady's Growth Tales" introduces parents and children to the power of stories to open doors to communication through the eyes of a bear. Using AFCC 2016 featured 'Grady First Day At School" by Singapore children's author Su-Ann Mae Phillips, this literary arts programme develops communication abilities, emotional intelligence, and creative thinking through dramatised read-aloud drama with Grady Bear, DeeDee the Bee, Oz the Ostrich and Mrs. Quinn the Owl. The 1.5-hours workshop welcomes all adults and parents / grandparents with children between ages 4 to 9 to partake in the dramatised reading. It is limited to 15 adults and children per workshop. Leading this workshop is Edwin Tsien, Bachelors in Musical Theatre from La Salle College of the Arts and a master drama trainer with Helen O'Grady Asia. Elizabeth Ng, M.Ed with more than 20 years in pre-school and primary school brings forth her artistic flair in dramatised reading and acting.
