About this event

Step into one of the defining battles of Singapore's wartime history on a guided trail retracing the footsteps of Lieutenant Adnan Saidi and the 1st Malay Regiment. Led by heritage guide and activist Sarafian Salleh, this journey follows the route taken during the 1942 Battle of Pasir Panjang, beginning at Geneo and moving through key positions connected to the fighting. Along the way, uncover powerful stories of courage, sacrifice, military strategy, and the fierce defence of Singapore.

Walk through locations including Science Park 2, Artillery Point, Point 226, and Kent Ridge as you discover how the battle unfolded across the landscape. Learn about troop formations, artillery positions, the history of the Malay Regiment, and the events surrounding the Fall of Singapore. The trail concludes at Reflections at Bukit Chandu, where the courage and sacrifice of Lieutenant Adnan and his fellow soldiers offer a moving perspective on the struggle that helped shape modern Singapore.
