About this event

Stitch the past into the present in this immersive embroidery experience where heritage meets contemporary design. Journey across the region’s rich sulam traditions with curator Tony Sugiarta and storyteller Hafiz Rashid.

Discover stories woven into cloth, and explore how embroidery lives on in fashion, interiors and art today. Then roll up your sleeves for a guided hands-on workshop with textile artist Agatha “Agy” Lee using Broderie Anglaise for modern practice. Create your own hand-stitched batik coaster and bring home a starter kit to continue the craft.

Join us in this afternoon filled with a blend of talk, storytelling and crafting - perfect for curious minds and creative hands alike.
